KAMI was founded in 2016 by Kai-Stefan Luithardt and Michael Ruben Bandt. In Japanese, KAMI means paper as well as spirit or sacred power and force in Shintoism.
The KAMI collection is conceived with the aim to create purposeful and beautiful objects, using local resources, collaborating with socially involved workshops, with the contribution of inspiring designers. KAMI stands for timeless minimalistic design, with creations enforced by the excellence of the materials used and the attention dedicated to the realization of every single piece.
